PROJECT
REPEVALUATOR
REPeValuator is software used to screen candidates for jobs related to customer service as
well as determine if existing employees can handle customer interaction.
APPLICATION
The application interacts with a SQL back end through ASP middleware
retrieving dynamically created XML data streams.
During each 30-minute simulation, which includes voice-over IP and text chat sessions with
hypothetical customers, candidates choose from lists of possible responses to a series of
customer questions. The simulations assess and evaluate agents' skills with assisting
customers online, such as typing speed, information provision and communication. The
customer interactions change dynamically based on how the candidate chooses to respond.
SCORING
Scoring helps clients determine skill level of candidates.
REPeValuator prints and displays the candidate scores depending on client settings. The software
lets candidates view their scores immediately after they finish simulations, or, if the client
prefers, they can make scores available only to supervisors. REPeValuator keeps track of scores
for each location if their client company has multiple call center sites.
ADMIN TOOL
Client customizable software through Web-based admin tool.
An administrative tool allows ASI reps to create and manage client accounts remotely by administering
things such as available licenses, client access privileges and client contact information. The
administrative tool also allows for the clients to directly customize the REPeValuator application
to their needs. Clients can modify things such as printing scores and setting the cut-score.
Clients may also generate and print reports based on their candidates scores.
TECHNOLOGY
Secure testing using SSL technology.
The REPeValuator application is written in Macromedia Director 8 as a shockwave application. The
application uses XML as a datastore for the five different interaction sessions, which keeps the
content separate from the application. The application interfaces with an SQL backend for storage
of applicant data and client application settings. The administrative tools are an IIS application
written in Active Server Pages (ASP), which also interfaces with the SQL database.
