Frequently Asked Questions

I'm running Homesite 4.x and when I use the Tag Editor I get an error message about OPTIONMinimizeEmptyTags
Please download and install the 1.53 version of smNetServerControls. In v1.54 the OPTIONMinimizeEmptyTags is used to enhance functionality, however Macromedia introduced this built-in variable with Homesite 5.0. To take advantage of this feature you will need to upgrade to Homesite 5.0.

I've downloaded and installed the program but I only see the ".Net Forms" toolbar and it only has 3 Editors. Where's the rest of the stuff?
The evaluation version only installs the ".Net Forms" toolbar with the Label, Panel and Hyperlink Tag Editors. If you register the program you will be able to unlock the installion program to install the rest of the Tag Editors.

I get an error after installing the product.
Please make sure you install to the same folder your HomeSite or ColdFusion Studio program has been installed to. It won't work if you choose to install to any other directory.

I like the product but am a little hesitant to purchase now while Asp.Net is still in beta. What if MS makes changes to the tags in the final release?
No worries. If you purchase a registration key now it will unlock future "patch" releases which will be created each time MS makes changes to any of the tags included in smNetServerControls up-to-and-including Asp.Net's first official release.

I installed smNetServerControls but don't see the new smNetServerControls Toolbars?
Right-click on an existing QuickBar and select the ".Net Forms" toolbar in the list. Repeat for the ".Net Layout" toolbar.

How can I configure Tag Insight to insert Camel Case (i.e. RunAt) Attributes?
You can't. Macromedia® HomeSite® only allows for either UPPERCASE or lowercase attribute insertion.

How do I report bugs?
